Having a Covid vaccination and a flu vaccination (if you are eligible) is the best way to protect yourself from the worst of these viruses.
NHS Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board has a combined approach to the delivery of vaccinations that is safe and works well. We work together as an aligned group including GPs, Community Pharmacies, Wellbeing Hubs and outreach programmes to give the widest opportunity to have a vaccination at a time and location that suits you. Our vaccinators are all fully trained and experience clinicians, some have specific training in working with children and young people to make sure the additional needs of this population are catered for.
We have a good uptake of vaccines across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes, but are striving to increase the uptake even further. Visit our website or our social media channels to find out where the best place for you to get vaccinated is.
If you are immune compromised or suppressed, please speak to your GP or other clinician to ensure you know whether you are eligible for additional boosters. If you are homebound we are able to come to you, again liaise with your GP.
It is best for you and your loved ones to keep up to date with vaccinations, as this protects our wider communities and reduces the impact on work (through reducing sickness) and potentially more susceptible friends and family.
